We’re pleased to announce the addition of three professionals to the Beene Garter partner group: Josh Garvey, Lisa Pohl, and Derik Rynearson. Our firm now has 17 partners and more than 100 staff members.

Josh Garvey, MBA
Josh oversees our firm’s software and outsourcing services practice, which includes Sage Intacct software, payroll, accounting outsourcing, and retirement plan services. He has over 18 years of experience working with software integrations and technology strategy for nonprofits, manufacturers, small businesses, health care organizations, and more.
Josh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in e-commerce from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Business Administration from Northwood University.
Lisa Pohl, J.D.
Lisa has more than 15 years of experience as a tax professional. She brings extensive corporate litigation and public accounting experience to our firm. Her specialties lie in state, local, and international tax strategy and tax filing compliance.
Lisa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Baker College and her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School.
Derik Rynearson, CPA, M.S.T.
Derik Rynearson has more than 17 years of experience in public accounting. His expertise includes identifying research and development credits and IC-DISC consulting and compliance for small businesses, manufacturers, and food and agribusiness companies.
Derik earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Western Michigan University. He also earned a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
“I look forward to bringing a different perspective to the firm,” shared Derik, who joined the Beene Garter team earlier this winter. “I think my skills and experiences complement those of the other Beene Garter partners, bringing depth, consistency, and capacity to our firm. Together, Beene Garter is in a great position to help our clients thrive!”
